As e-learning has impacted the world, online education is seen as a priority for the developed, as well as, the developing countries. Future seminaries will face radically different challenges through growing technology which will require different methodologies and skills for seminaries and for the students attending them. Along with the campus classes, Tucson Theological Seminary has developed an online seminary which we believe must be interactive. We feel that our online seminary students MUST have live interaction with the instructor and fellow classmates to grow into professional, qualified ministry leaders. Therefore, our online classes are designed with e-learning technologies that include: VOIP, classroom conferencing, chat rooms, podcasting, web cams, blogging and more... we are committed to our students future education through the use of technology to further the kingdom and spread the Good News.

The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son, our Lord; which was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven; and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic [universal] church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and life everlasting. Amen.

Tucson Theological Seminary operates under recognition of exemption, as a religion based degree granting institution, by the Arizona State Board of Private and Post Secondary Education Department under A.R.S. 32-3022 (E). The state of Arizona, like other states, does not require accreditation or theological accreditation
for our religious education curriculum. However, TTS is currently seeking accreditation to provide quality assurance for it's students. The
Seminary will not seek accreditation from governmental secular boards or agencies, since such accreditation programs invariably require conformity to unbiblical standards of instruction, operation, or philosophy.
Tucson Theological Seminary operates under the authority of the California Department of Consumer Affairs by Chapters 67 and 635 of the Statutes of 2007.

MP3 Audio Welcome

Welcome to Tucson Theological Seminary! In this brief introductory message, I hope to give you some idea about what it is that makes TTS distinctive.
Tucson Theological Seminary is about providing a seminary education of the whole person for the whole of life. We are committed to assisting our students develop to their fullest extent in order that they can confidently fulfill an effective role in the ministry they will occupy.

Our mission is to fulfill the evangelical mandate: “Come and follow Me and I will make you fishers of men… Go into the whole world, preach the Gospel, teach, and baptize in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit."  In response to this, we have implemented innovative programs to help each student, not only to achieve this goal, but to be discipled along the way through support, accountability, and guidance through seminary staff.
Our philosophy of providing a quality education, in a timely manner and at an affordable tuition has become the foundation on which the seminary is based so that no one who has a call on their life will be refused a seminary education and ordination.

We are also proud to present the Online Learning System which offers e-learning at an affordable tuition to our students. It is easy to use and allows us to get to know our distance students through internet communications and web cam technology. I invite you to learn more about this on our Technology Page.

And, finally, I hope your time at Tucson Theological Seminary will provide the building blocks needed to help you on your path as a ministry leader and as a foundation on which you can better serve the kingdom, for His glory, and for the future generations touched by your obedience to His call."

THEOLOGICAL STAND

Tucson Theological Seminary is a non-denominational seminary. Because we have students from various denominations attending Tucson Theological Seminary, we approach our educational curriculum with the intention of presenting foundational and traditional courses of study. We are not a liberal seminary but do believe that women can and should receive a seminary education and ordination for women is for ministry and not the pastorate. Please note that not all of the authors and audio instructors that we use (other than TTS instructors) hold to this belief and in fact, are opposed complementarian views. Also, we believe that a seminary is not a church and a woman can be President as long as she is governed by men overseeing on the Board. At Tucson Theological Seminary, we believe that the role of a seminary is to teach students to think "theologically" and to grow as ministry leaders with the Holy Spirit. We believe that proclaiming the gospel is for everyone.
It is the prospective student's responsibility to carefully discern his or her calling to and aptness for a particular ministry.

Articles of Faith

Article One

We believe there is but one living and true God everlasting, of infinite power, wisdom and goodness; Maker and Preserver of all things, both visible and invisible. And in the unity of this Godhead there are three Persons of one substance of eternal being, and equal in holiness, justice, wisdom, power, and dignity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Article Two

We believe that the Son, who is the Word of the Father, the very and eternal God, of one substance with the Father, took man's nature in the womb of the blessed virgin; so that two whole and perfect natures, that is to say, the Godhead and the manhood were joined together in one Person, never to be divided, whereof is one Christ, very God and perfect man, who actually suffered, was crucified, dead, and buried, to reconcile the Father to us, and to make atonement, not only for our actual guilt, but also for original sin.

Article Three

We believe that Christ did truly rise again from the dead, and took again His body, with all things appertaining to the perfections of man's nature, and ascended into heaven and there sits until He shall return to judge all men at the last day.

Article Four

We believe the Holy Spirit, proceeding from the Father and the Son, is of one substance, majesty and glory with the Father and the Son, very and eternal God and has not ceased in ministering to believers.

Article Five

We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, known as the Bible, composed of sixty-six books and divided into two departments, Old and New Testaments. We believe the Bible is the Word of God, the full and complete revelation of the plan and history of redemption.

Article Six

We believe that eternal life with God in heaven is a portion of the reward of the finally righteous; and that everlasting banishment from the presence of the Lord and unending torture in hell are the wages of the persistently wicked (Matthew 25:46; Psalm 9:17; Revelation 21:7-8).

Article Seven

We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for the remission of sins that are past, for the regeneration of penitent sinners, and for salvation from sin and from sinning (Romans 3:25; 1 John 3:5-10; Ephesians 2:1-10).

Article Eight

We believe, teach, and firmly maintain the scriptural doctrine of justification by faith (Romans 5:1).

Article Nine

We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for all men   and for the complete cleansing of the justified believer from all indwelling sin and from its pollution, subsequent to regeneration (1 John 1:7-9).

Article Ten

We believe in sanctification. While sanctification is initiated in regeneration and consummated in glorification, we believe that it includes an immediate, definite, gradual work of grace achieved by faith subsequent to regeneration (Acts 26:18; 1 John 1:9). Sanctification delivers from the power and dominion of sin. It is followed by life-long growth in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Peter 3:18).

Article Eleven

We believe that the filling of the Holy Spirit is obtainable by a definite act of God and the appropriating faith on the part of the believer, and the evidence of the reception of this is through the gifts of the spirit. (Luke 11:13; Acts 1:5; 2:14, 8-17; 10:44-46; 19:6).

Article Twelve

We believe in divine healing as an act of God's providence or miracle working on behalf of the hurting person.

Article Thirteen

We believe in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 3:1-4; Matthew 24:29-44), and love and wait for His appearing (2 Timothy 4:8)

Article Fourteen

We believe it is the responsibility of every believer to dedicate his life to carrying out the work of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8).
