At Tucson Theological Seminary we understand your call to ministry, your desire to go to seminary and your need to be able to go to seminary without major debt and long time off from work.
We believe we are a school of destiny for those who have been called.
We have combined the best of traditional seminary experience along with our dedication of keeping our overhead low, thus passing the savings along to our students.
First, we follow the structure of the University of Phoenix in that we make extensive use of computer technologies such as email, P2P voip, instant messenger, podcasting, chat, blogs, etc. We use webcams and mics to talk to our online students...live. We have computerized grading systems, automated software, and an interactive website for better communication with our students. We believe in using the technologies available to cut down on expenses that cost other seminaries large staffing costs and passing those savings onto our students in both our classrooms and online.
Secondly, we have established affiliations with other Christian educational organizations and ministries to provide instruction from some of the best seminary instructors across the country! In addition, TTS students are also taught by our own instructors who are dedicated to training students for Christian leadership.
Our faculty are called, dedicated ministers who love God and deeply care about their students. What we offer is not being offered anywhere else because we have stepped outside the box to bring a fresh, new approach to seminary education so that no one is turned away from a seminary education due to cost or time.
Tucson Theological Seminary has spent three years perfecting our program curriculum and offer under-graduate and graduate degrees. Please see Degrees
Students interested in this program include lay persons, retirees wanting to enter ministry, working ministers who seek credentials to minister in their subject area, persons changing careers and anyone seeking seminary for the first time. Students will study theology, apologetics, church history, preaching, ministry foundations and more. We are very proud of our graduates from the intensive one-year program. Many of our graduates who have a bachelor degree or life skill equivalent elect to go on and pursue our Master of Theology program which is also condensed into an intensive twenty-eight month program. Because of our low over head, shared seminary faculty, Logos software and computer technologies our graduate programs cost half of what other seminaries cost.
Our goal at TTS is to provide an alternative to high cost seminary education but not eliminate any of the excellent studies a student would receive at any large campus seminary.
Our motto is "Reaching All With a Call" so that no one is turned away from a seminary education due to cost or time. In conclusion, we offer an excellent education with ministry leadership training, lower tuition with a generous monthly payment plans, the latest technology for online students, and a dedicated staff of instructors to guide your Christian leadership training every step of the way. This is a twelve month program and is an intensive program with few school breaks. Classes are three days per week, can be taken in either the morning or evening, and each class is at least two hours long making it equivalent in hours to a two year program. Examinations are given on a weekly basis to measure the student's knowledge of classroom material for mastery of a subject area. TTS Instructors will be incorporating Logos Software with their lectures for TTS theology programs. Thanks to Bible Study software programs with Logos, students can grow deeper in God's Word faster and more efficiently than ever before. The Logos Bible Study software programs were developed to speed the discovery and learning process. Rather than spending time looking for and paging through reference or library books, Logos let's their programmed software find all the relevant information students need in a fraction of a second! Student's classroom books and study materials are all available on the Logos software provided through the seminary. AND... Tucson Theological Seminary will be incorporating Moody Bible Institute courseware into our Diploma in Theological Studies program to better prepare our students for leadership ministry.

BOARD CERTIFIED BIBLICAL COUNSELOR DIPLOMAEarn college credits!
The Board Certified Biblical Counselor Diploma is awarded to those individuals who are associate and bachelor level counselors with Biblical and Christian counselor training, and for advanced lay helpers who are seeking training by completing the courses listed on the Counseling Program page. The fundamental courses, "Caring for People God's Way" and "Breaking Free" are required courses of study along with the elective "Marriage Works" to earn the Diploma and become eligible for the Board Certified Biblical Counselor Diploma. All classes are facilitated by Tucson Theological Seminary instructors and additional studies and materials are provided by the seminary as well! Graduates may elect for ordination with American Evangelistic Association. Included with your graduation will be: A one-year free membership in the AACC when you enroll in the complete the Board Certified Biblical Counselor Diploma. An $109 value free! You can renew that membership once it expires and continue to receive the resources available to you from the AACC.

Don't I need an accredited seminary to work in ministry?
It depends on what you are seeking to do, many churches do not require accreditation. Our graduates are working in the Nazarene church, Assemblies of God church, Teen Challenge administration, started their own churches, pastors and assistant pastors, chaplaincy, pastoral care, youth group, music ministry, etc. TTS is NOT a degree mill but a young and growing seminary. Accredited seminaries have a huge selling point and use it to discredit many qualified and credible growing seminaries, but did you know that a seminary must exist for three years just to obtain Jr. membership with an accrediting agency and and wait a full 7 years to become accredited? The cost is 10's of thousands of dollars to become accredited. TTS is seeking accreditation and is in the process of raising the finances needed to become accredited.
